Aeroacoustics Computation for Nearly Fully Expanded Supersonic Jets Using the CE/SE MethodIn this paper, the space-time conservation element solution element (CE/SE) method is tested in the classical axisymmetric jet instability problem, rendering good agreement with the linear theory. The CE/SE method is then applied to numerical simulations of several nearly fully expanded axisymmetric jet flows and their noise fields and qualitative agreement with available experimental and theoretical results is demonstrated.
