Preliminary Photon Pressure Measurements Using a Solar SimulatorInitial proof of concept photon momentum measurements reported verifying photon pressure on a simulated sail material can be measured under high vacuum conditions using a full spectrum solar simulator and a vacuum compatible force measurement system. Second order effects such as sample reflectivity, beam uniformity, radiometric flux measurement accuracy, and the optical system have been accounted for in evaluating these measurements.
