Ceramic Thermal Protection Systems for Reusable Launch VehiclesThis presentation will provide an overview of the program to develop reusable ceramic thermal protection systems (TPS) for the reusable launch vehicle. The technology challenges that resulted in the consideration of advanced ceramics as a potential TPS solution will be discussed, as well as the current situation for use of advanced ceramics in future vehicle designs.
