Energetic Particles in the Galaxy: Causes and ConsequencesThis talk will discuss the production of energetic particles in the galaxy known as cosmic rays. I will discuss the problems and prospects for learning more about their origin and history in the galaxy. New missions such as GLAST and ACCESS have the potential for breakthrough in the study of their origins.
