NASA EPSCoR Preparation GrantThe NASA EPSCoR project in Mississippi involved investigations into three areas of interest to NASA by researchers at the four comprehensive universities in the state. These areas involved: (1) Noninvasive Flow Measurement Techniques, (2) Spectroscopic Exhaust Plume Measurements of Hydrocarbon Fueled Rocket Engines and (3) Integration of Remote Sensing and GIS data for Flood Forecasting on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Each study supported a need at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The first two addressed needs in rocket testing, and the third, in commercial remote sensing. Students from three of the institutions worked with researchers at Stennis Space Center on the projects.
