Heat Transfer ResearchA COSMIC (Computer Software Management and Information Center) program called RAVFAC (Radiation View Factor Program) enables Western Electric Company to study heat transfer processes to develop new manufacturing application. RAVFAC, Radiation View Factor Program is used in analyzing high temperature processing in manufacturing semiconductor wafers. It helps assess new designs by calculating heat transfer to determine temperature variation. The program has been extremely cost effective.
