Exploring the Solar SystemThis viewgraph presentation profiles several emerging propulsion technologies with promise for missions to explore the solar system. These technologies may reduce cost, mass, and/or travel times, and include: aerocapture, ion propulsion, solar electric and solar thermal propulsion, solar sails, momentum exchange tethers, and plasma sails.
