NASA IKONOS Characterization MethodologiesThe objectives of IKONOS characterization are to: 1) Perform spatial characterization by measuring edge response of IKONOS images to evaluate Modulation Transfer Function (MTF); 2) Perform geolocational accuracy assessment of IKONOS imagery using surveyed geodetic targets; 3) Perform radiometric vicarious calibrations of IKONOS imagery and compare with Space Imaging calibration coefficients. Calibration activities conducted in West Texas, and at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi and Lunar Lake, Nevada are profiled in this viewgraph presentation.
