Passive Microwave Remote Sensing for Land ResourcesSpaceborne microwave radiometry is an important technique for obtaining global estimates of parameters important to Earth's hydrologic cycle, land resources, environmental monitoring, and climate. They key physical processes involved in these applications are the land-atmosphere exchanges of heat and moisture, and their status and variability on different time and space scales.
