Carbon PlanetsStellar remnants present unique environments for planet formation, and may host companions with exotic chemistries, like planets made substantially of carbon. I'll provide an overview of carbon planet theory: chemistry, structure and formation scenerios. I'll also describe some recent observations of stellar remnants that have yielded candidate carbon planets.
