Distributed Schemes for Integrated Arrival Departure Surface (IADS) SchedulingThe objective of the NRA is to investigate and develop integrated scheduling solutions for arrival, departure and surface operations. The option year briefing summarizes simulation-based analyses of the departure metering process to investigate strategic queue management strategies and their robustness to uncertainty, assess the impact of delaying departures at their gates on blocking the arrivals destined for the same gates, and evaluate the effects and benefits of relaxing current-day MIT constraints when ATD-2 is in operation.
