Acoustics Technical Working Group History

A brief history of NASA's Acoustics Technical Working Group (TWG) is given. The TWG dates back to 1992 and was formed to plan the Advanced Subsonic Technology (AST) Noise Reduction Program. It has endured several program, project and organizational changes. Today a new work area called "Urban Air Mobility" is being proposed and the TWG will have an opportunity to discuss its roles in continuing to coordinate NASA's acoustics research.
