Optical Imaging and Sensing in Harsh EnvironmentsThe paper discusses extraction of images and sensing information from targets located in harsh planetary environments. Various configuration of sensing systems with fiber optic image conduit are presented and discussed including some experimental data. Prototypes are designed and their performance are demonstrated with the focus on their potential applications in the Venusian atmosphere.
