Carbon Nanotube Acoustic Sensors for NDEThe objective is to investigate the capability of carbon nanotube (CNT) strain sensors for reception of ultrasonic waves. The goal is to measure and simulate the response of CNT sensors to ultrasonic waves and to examine their frequency response and directionality. These measurements will be used to validated simulations to establish guidelines for future CNT acoustic sensor research and development.
