Zip Aviation: Initial Total Operating Cost ComparisonEnergy cost comparison does not take into account that electric aircraft can be more aerodynamically efficient (at 150 or 200 mph). Prior concept comparison (SR-20 vs eSwift-2) yielded a 11x difference in energy cost. If off peak electric rates were also applied the result would have been 21x reduction. Prior concept comparison (SR-22 vs e AT L I T) yielded a 12.6x difference in energy cost. If off peak electric rates were also applied the result would have been 24x reduction. Comparing against the Eclipse 500 yields even greater differences.
