Big Data and the Atmospheric Science Data Center: Improving Access & Understanding of Data The ASDC, in its role as an EOS-DIS (Earth Observing System Data and Information System) DAAC (Distributed Active Archive Center) has made substantial improvements to the way in which data is delivered. The architecture has been developed, in response to emerging customer needs to support multiple paths for access.
