Introduction and Overview of the Object-Oriented Turbomachinery Analysis Code (OTAC)This is an overview of the Object-Oriented Turbomachinery Analysis Code (OTAC). OTAC is an object-oriented code developed to perform 2-D meridional flowthrough design and analysis of turbomachines. OTAC uses an implicit formulation of the governing equations relevant to meanline and streamline simulations to solve for the thermodynamic and velocity state of the fluid at the exit of each blade row. OTAC is written using the interpreted language capability of the Numerical Propulsion System Simulation (NPSS) code; as such, OTAC requires a version of NPSS to run. A series of models and test cases have been developed to demonstrate the capability and features of OTAC.
