Augmented fidelity as an alternative to the average fidelityWe provide description of different techniques to assess performance of quantum gates. In particular we focus on newly introduced metric called augmented fidelity, which provides extension to standard average fidelity by taking the average over von Mises-Fisher and polar cap distributions. We show the differences between standard average and augmented fidelities.
