People are the Weak Link in the System.People are often considered the "weak link" in every system. It is assumed that there is a causal "chain" of events, and each link in the chain provides some protection against failure. In this notion, the chain is only as strong as its weakest link and people are often blamed for failures. It's true that failures can be traced to human limitation, but what's more important is that all successes, all safe operations are the result of human capabilities. This talk highlights the resilience people bring to aviation operations and discusses ways to change the common narrative that people are only the source of error and failure.
