Perforate Sheet Concepts for Improved Low-Frequency Absorption of Acoustic LinersTwo perforate sheet concepts are presented that attempt to improve the lower frequency absorption characteristics of acoustic liners: hole-clustered facesheet and bent-perforation-path facesheet. The theory behind each will be discussed, and normal incidence experimental data will also be shown to demonstrate acoustic benefits. Preliminary modeling efforts are in work and will be discussed as well.
