Designed Adhesion - Exploring the UnknownThe ability to design materials and substrates for adhesive properties is highly desirable for the aeronautics industry. This includes the ability to design substrates that have low ice adhesion to increase efficiency of the fleet, as well as the ability to design structural adhesives to improve manufacturing rate. The Designed Adhesion group was chosen during the 2023 Wicked Wild Pitch Event sponsored by CAS and is currently in the discovery phase.
