A Nonuniform Beam Filling (NUBF) Doppler Velocity Bias Estimate for Airborne Radars with Arbitrary Pointing AnglesDoppler velocity biases introduced by nonuniform beam filling (NUBF) can often resemble legitimate meteorological features, potentially resulting in misinterpretation of radar data. Existing NUBF Doppler velocity bias corrections for airborne radars generally assume the antenna is pointing in the nadir direction. This work generalizes the NUBF bias correction equations to work for any antenna pointing angle, regardless of whether the angle is fixed or changing with time.
