The Coude spectrograph and echelle scanner of the 2.7 m telescope at McDonald observatoryThe design of the Coude spectrograph of the 2.7 m McDonald telescope is discussed. A description is given of the Coude scanner which uses the spectrograph optics, the configuration of the large echelle and the computer scanner control and data systems.
