Training and education requirements for the practical application of remote sensing.Review and analysis of the training and education needs of the Earth Resources Survey (ERS) program both within NASA and outside (i.e., domestic and foreign users). Potential recipients of training are identified, as well as categories of knowledge needs. The relationships between trainee categories and knowledge needs and between trainee categories and training mechanisms are explored. Some consideration is given to problems of training for the effective utilization of remote sensing in developing countries.
