Thermal properties of polymers below 4 K.Obtained measurement data on the Debye contribution to the specific heat, the specific heat, and the thermal conductivity in polymers below 4 deg K are discussed. The results obtained suggest that impurities are responsible for the apparent thermal properties of polymers and glasses at low temperatures. In order to determine the intrinsic behavior of amorphous solids, measurements must be made at temperatures low enough to freeze out the local modes.
