Advanced missions safety. Volume 2: Technical discussion. Part 1: Space shuttle rescue capabilityA technical discussion of part of the advanced mission safety study is presented. An assessment of the Earth Orbit Shuttle (EOS) capability to perform a rescue mission is developed. Several concepts for augmenting the capability and increasing the EOS rescue mission utility are analyzed.
