Thermal and electrical properties of Evanohm and other resistance alloys below 4 KEvanohm in the form of a fine wire is widely used in low-temperature experiments. It has a composition of 75% Ni, 20% Cr, 2.5% Cu, and 2.5% Al. The heat capacity of a rod of Evanohm was measured in the temperature range from 0.1 to 1.3 K. It was found that the specific heat of Evanohm does not display the increase found for constantan, manganin, and nichrome at low temperatures. Measurements of the thermal conductivity and the electrical and magnetic properties are also reported.
