NASA general aviation research overview - 1976Recent accomplishments in the field of general aviation are reviewed which resulted from NASA's steadily improving communication with the industry and user community, both on a formal level and through more direct involvement in the research activities. Several NASA programs are examined whose aim is to provide new technologies across the board for improvements in safety, efficiency, and reduction of the impact of general aviation on the environment. The use of the results of some NASA programs in designing new aircraft is demonstrated. A list of technical reports generated by the NASA program is given in an appendix.
