Reddening of planetary nebulae - NGC 2392A method for finding the reddening of planetary nebulae is proposed which makes use of the fact that the color of a hot star is an insensitive function of its temperature. Spectrophotometric data of NGC 2392 are presented and used to compute its color excess by the present method as well as older methods; the present method appears to be viable. These results combined with previous measurements tend to support the idea that reddening is variable over the surface of the nebula.
