Infrared temperature maps of EHD lubricationTechnique uses an infrared detector with two specially selected infrared filters, in separately mapping the contact-surface temperature and average oil-film temperature in an elastohydrodynamic conjunction. Apparatus includes conventional four-ball bearing tester and temperature controlled lubricant system.
