High-resolution, continuous-flow electrophoresis in microgravityApproximate expressions which will allow estimation of performance enhancement in reduced gravity and will direct optimization of the various design parameters for a continuous flow electrophoresis system was devised. Other topics discussed include: (1) temperature and velocity distribution; (2) input power limitations in reduced gravity; and (3) effect of band distortion on resolution. A comparision of resolution for terrestrial and reduced gravity operations was also discussed.
