Uses of the Space Shuttle in the NASA Applications ProgramExamples are given of Shuttle and Spacelab payloads proposed in the NASA Applications Program. These range from processing of materials under near-zero gravity conditions to studies of microphysical processes occurring in clouds, and from high resolution Fourier interferometers for studying trace constituents in the atmosphere to complementary groups of sensors for viewing the earth.
