The finite element method in computational fluid mechanicsA finite element solution algorithm is established for a general statement of the time-averaged Navier-Stokes equations governing multi-dimensional turbulent flows. Numerical results are presented which evaluate factors affecting solution accuracy for a broad spectrum of linear and non-linear problem classes.
