Heat/pressure seal for moving partsPrototype seal keeps hot gases from leaking between large, adjacent parts in relative motion. Seal withstands temperatures greater than 1,000 degrees C (1800 degrees F) and accomodates heat and pressure caused distortion of parts. It is nonabrasive, creates little resistance to movement of parts, and causes minimal wear and damage to surface coatings.
