Application of upwind convective finite elements to practical conduction/forced convection thermal analysis

Abstract: Three practical problems in conduction/forced convection heat transfer are analyzed using a simplified engineering formulation of convective finite elements. Upwind and conventional finite element solutions are compared for steady-state and transient applications.
