Controls of Intracellular Communication Mediated by Gap JunctionsExperiments were done using aequorin and no increase in aequorin luminescence during acidification adequate to uncouple cells was seen. The pH sensitivity of the conductance of the perfused membrane was essentially the same as that observed with intracellular pH microelectrodes.
