Subsonic/transonic prediction capabilities for nozzle/afterbody configurationsPrediction methods for several nozzle/afterbody flow problems at subsonic and transonic speeds are presented. These methods range from viscous-inviscid interaction methods to solutions for the Navier-Stokes equations in two and three dimensions. The problems addressed are the flow around isolated axisymmetric nozzles, isolated nonaxisymmetric nozzles, and axisymmetric nozzles with empennage. An assessment of the state of development of the methods via comparisons with experimental data is presented.
