Some properties of the filamentary nebula at 1723 - 46High resolution spectra of the interstellar NaI D2 absorption line have been obtained for seven B-type stars aligned with an extensive filamentary nebula. Very fine filaments have now been found on a high contrast print of a deep H-alpha and forbidden N II plate, making identification as a fossilized remnant probable but uncertain. The inferred age is about 20,000 yr, the distance less than 200 pc, the diameter less than 17.5 pec, but the initial energy is only about 2 x 10 to the 47th erg.
