Project Explorer GAS #007: Marshall Amateur Radio Club Experiment (MARCE)Polls have been taken at the Project Explorer meetings regarding flying i without the radio experiment transmitting. The radio downlinks require extra 4 coordination and are sensitive to certain payloads. The poll results were i unanimous. The radio down links are vital in providing data on the health and I status of the total experiments package, in real time, during the flight. The ( amateur radio operators, prepared to receive the downlinks and OSCAR-10 relays, revealed that there was enormous interest throughout the world, to participate. This sets the stage for the reflight opportunities which the GAS PROGRAM ha8 kindly provided.
