On the long term variation of stratospheric aerosol content after the eruption of volcano El Chichon: Laser radar measurementsThe results of measurements of the stratospheric aerosol layer by a ruby lidar (lambda = 0.6943 microns) for two years after the eruption of El Chichon (March 29, April 4, 1982, Mexico) are given. The results show the sudden increase in the stratospheric aerosol content after the eruption and its subsequent decline.
