Lead Scales for X-RadiographsIndentations made by typing on lead tape. Lead scales for inclusion in x-radiographs as length and position references created by repeatedly imprinting character like upper-case I, L, or V, or lower-case L into lead tape with typewriter. Character pitch of typewriter serves as length reference for scale. Thinning of tape caused by impacts of type shows up dark in radiograph.
