The catalysis of hydrazinesHydrazine sulfate in a hot aqueous solution can be catalyzed in the direction of 3 N2H4 = 4 NH3 + N2. Free hydrazine in a hot aqueous solution dissociates in the presence of platinum in the following direction: 2 N2H4 = 2 NH3 + N2 + H2. In the presence of sodium hydroxide, the catalytic dissociation of hydrazine takes a third direction: 3 N2H4 = 2 NH3 + 2 N3 + 3 H2.
