System Turns SAR Images Into MapsPostprocessing system for synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) transforms raw images from natural rotated and distorted SAR reference frame into geocoded images. Images automatically corrected to remove slant-range nonlinearities and Doppler skew. Produces multiple-frame mosaics for large-scale mapping. Does not require tedious manual registration of representative "tie" points in raw SAR imagery with known locations on Earth.
