Did the greenhouse effect kill the dinosaursAccording to a study at the California Institute of Technology, the carbon dioxide (CO2) released by a meteor or comet striking the earth 65 million years ago could have doomed many species of animals and plants by dramatically raising temperatures worldwide. The results of this study will be presented at the 19th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Houston, Texas.
