Four-Mode Squeezing For Optical CommunicationsExperiments demonstrated potential of four-mode squeezing for increasing immunity to noise in fiber-optical communication systems and interferometric devices. Four-mode squeezing reduces quantum noise more than ordinary squeezing and provides partial immunity to non-quantum-mechanical phase noise arising in such media as optical fibers.
