Tidal interaction of small satellite galaxies with spiral primariesThe interaction of the disks of spiral galaxies and small companions is discussed. The gravitational drag effects of the disk on small satellites are of particular interest. Studies of the Andromeda Galaxy and its satellites, M32 and NGC 205, reveal the usefulness of few-body test-particle simulations in explaining many features of spiral galaxies and their satellites.
