Laboratory behavior of a plasma plume injected into the magnetized plasma flowPlasma plumes are injected into the tail of the simulated earth's magnetosphere produced by an interaction between the simulated solar wind and a magnetic dipole. The behavior of laboratory artificial plasma plumes injected into the magnetized plasma flow is discussed in conjunction with the AMPTE artificial comet experiments (Minami et al., 1986) and other active chemical release experiments in space.
