Simulation models of early visual processesSeveral areas of early visual processes are studied using computer models. These models include retinal cone placement, cone color arrangement, development of geniculate receptive fields, cortical simple cells, and motion field extraction. The receptive field of a model cortical unit is indicated schematically.
