Extending the sun's magnetic field through the three-dimensional heliosphereMethods for inferring the interplanetary magnetic field are reviewed. Estimates of the configuration of the field are presented for each phase of the sunspot cycle. The limitations of the methods for predicting it are presented. A contour map of power in the 0.3-0.5 microHz frequency range is presented for various solar latitudes.
