Radiative transfer in rectangular enclosures - A discretized exchange factor solutionThe discretized exchange factor method is used to analyze radiative exchange in a rectangular enclosure. The results compare excellently with those of other methods, especially the zonal method. Since the direct exchange factors are between nodal points no integration is necessary for evaluation of these factors. It is found that the present approach provides accurate results even when a small number of nodes is used.
